Josh Lindblom and Justin Sellers have landed the final two roster spots on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Right-handed reliever Josh Lindblom and infielder Justin Sellers will begin the season with the Dodgers, while reliever Scott Rice and infielders Luis Cruz and Josh Fields were reassigned.

The logical choices, in my opinion.

Lindblom has proven he can be very effective out of the bullpen in the bigs, which is more than Scott Rice could have said.

Sellers, despite his bat, offers a ton of versatility. Of course, keeping Sellers means the Dodgers effectively have three weak hitting utility infielders on the roster, but my rebuttal to that would be the other choices were Luis Cruz and Josh Fields.

—–

Speaking of the Opening Day roster, it’s now set.

Catchers: A.J. Ellis, Matt Treanor

Infielders: James Loney, Mark Ellis, Juan Uribe, Dee Gordon, Jerry Hairston Jr., Adam Kennedy, Justin Sellers

Outfielders: Juan Rivera, Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, Tony Gwynn Jr.

Starting Pitchers: Clayton Kershaw, Chad Billingsley, Chris Capuano, Aaron Harang

Relief Pitchers: Javy Guerra, Kenley Jansen, Josh Lindblom, Scott Elbert, Todd Coffey, Matt Guerrier, Mike MacDougal, Jamey Wright

—–

So, so, so, so, so ready for meaningful games to start.
