[Update] Matt Kemp might be dating Khloe Kardashian, prepare for the dumb

It’s Media Take Out, so take it with a mountain of salt (even though that picture is telling), but Matt Kemp is allegedly dating Khloe Kardashian. I don’t care what he does in his personal life, but people get dumb about stuff like this, so brace yourself.

The insider told MediaTakeout.com, “Khloe and Matt are dating, but it’s not serious yet. But Khloe’s already acting like she’s in love . . . Khloe’s like that, she loves hard, but she moves on quick.”

Then again, it doesn’t matter if it’s true or not, because we all remember the fan reaction to the Rihanna stories and how she was to blame for him having a terrible 2010, right? You know, despite the fact that he was linked to her off-and-on throughout his 2011 MVP campaign as well. Not that one would want reality to ruin a fun narrative.

Regardless, if this is true, because the Kardashians are famous and are hated, expect a ton of shit to come his way, especially if he gets off to a slow start. I swear, it’s like Kemp seeks out these messes for extra drama or something.

According to People, they aren’t dating, they’re just friends.

Just hours before Kardashian, 29, filed for divorce Friday morning, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting to drop Odom from her name, she was spotted hitting a private gym in Beverly Hills with L.A. Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp.

“They are just friends and have been for a long time,” a source tells PEOPLE of the relationship buzz, spurred by the baseball star’s Instagram post of Kris Jenner’s Christmas tree on Thursday. “Khloé is absolutely heartbroken right now [over Lamar] and dating someone is the last thing she’s thinking about.”

Another Kardashian insider adds: “It could be heading [romantic] in the future, but Khloé wasn’t spending time with him when she was still with Lamar. She absolutely wasn’t. People need to remember that she and Lamar haven’t lived together since June.”

I could do without this narrative in 2014, as he was going to be under the microscope regardless.
