Yasiel Puig kisses Adrian Gonzalez on head, tells ESPN to keep talking, keeps chain swinging

So ESPN and everybody on Twitter were hyping up the apparent discord between Yasiel Puig and Adrian Gonzalez during the game tonight, all because Puig was apparently unjustifiably mouthing off to Gonzalez about not scoring from first on his double*.

*I mean, really? Really? All three outfielders could die on the field and A-Gon would have to hold at third.

So in the top of the ninth, after word had somehow trickled down to them in the dugout, Puig and A-Gon hammed it up for the camera, with Puig essentially trolling ESPN on their own broadcast.

The best part? Rick Sutcliffe translated the talking hand gesture as Puig indicating that they were just talking, but given Puig’s general hatred for the media, I’d say it was more of a “you don’t know shit, keep blabbing” gesture.

Anyway, after the game, A-Gon said they were just giving each other a hard time, which … okay?

At the time, I’m pretty sure he was pissed, but A-Gon doesn’t seem to care now either way, so that’s basically it for this story.

Honestly, Puig acting like a 10-year-old is not surprising, and the same goes for A-Gon acting like his cool dad.

Regardless, as far as fans are concerned, Puig just needs to keep that chain swinging.
