The Dodgers beat the rival Giants on Opening Day at home to begin 2013, but it wasn’t so much the win that was surprising as how they did it.
Leading off the bottom of the eighth inning of a 0-0 game, Clayton Kershaw was left in to hit, and he justified the decision, not with his arm, but with his bat.
That was his first career homer, and it made people lose their minds.
Never been prouder of Dodger fans as when they completed that successful high five.
So … that happened too.
Then Matt Kemp and the dugout did whatever this is:
And Luis Cruz is so excited. We so excited.
Fun fun fun.
Unfortunately, Kershaw is basically the worst curtain call giver in history.
We can work on that though.
