Everybody say goodbye to Justin Sellers, who got arrested for being a dipshit

Justin Sellers, current occupant of the Dodgers 40-man roster, might not have to worry about being on it for much longer, as he was recently arrested by the police (h/t True Blue LA/@dpwtv).

Police said Justin Sellers was doing “wheelies” on his motorcycle in a neighborhood near Riva Drive. When officers tried to pull him over, police said Sellers took off.

After a short chase, Sellers turned himself in, authorities said.

West Sacramento police said they have had repeated reports of a motorcyclist driving recklessly in the same neighborhood for the past month.

Given the fact that the Dodgers have a clog of utility infielder types right now, and that they’ll probably be looking for 40-man roster spots after/during Spring Training, he probably couldn’t have picked a worse time to do this.

I mean, when isn’t running from the police a smart idea anyway? Then again, he was apparently repeatedly doing dangerous shit on his motorcycle for about a month, so … what else should I have expected?

West Sacramento, it should be noted, is in Yolo County.

  1. I’ve never understood the mentality behind YOLO. If a person truly believed that You Only Live Once, then why the heck would you go out and do life threatening krap or stuff that may get you thrown in jail. Being stuck in a cell or in a grave isn’t really my idea of living.

  2. Clog of utility infielders but no SS once Cruz goes down. Sellers may be a dipshit, but he’s a dipshit who can field, so I would hope he stays on at least until a depth replacement is found.
