
I joined the IBWAA and participated in the IBWAA Awards vote in 2012, the results of which you can see in the picture above.
So did they match what I voted for? Sort of.
I think everything I voted on is self-explanatory, though there’s room for quibbling here and there.

Sad to say I’m not surprised even amongst the IBWAA that Trout didn’t win the AL MVP.
How close was your determination of Dickey over Kershaw?
Yeah, Mike Trout was an easy AL MVP choice for me.
NL Cy Young was neck and neck. For me, it basically came down to the fact that R.A. Dickey had more utility than Clayton Kershaw, which I thought added value. That’s basically it.
What do you mean by “more utility?”
Can be used in relief or start on odd days in the rotation and what not. Just gives the team versatility that conventional pitchers can’t.
