Los Angeles Dodgers Spring Training Notes: March 3rd & 4th, 2012

Honestly? Not much has happened in two days…

Because the team doesn’t have enough bumps and bruises, Dee Gordon got drilled in the face.

Dodgers shortstop Dee Gordon took a bad hop off the mouth during batting practice Saturday and required several stitches to close a gash on his lip.

With the first group hitting, Gordon was struck in the face while taking grounders at his shortstop position. He walked off the field to the trainer’s room, then left to have his lip stitched up. Team trainer Sue Falsone said Gordon is expected to be back in action Sunday with no limitations.

Not a significant injury, but please make the injury news stop.
